Kristin Fisher was added to the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. As a Space and Defense Correspondent, Kristin Fisher covers all aspects of space including NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space firms and space tourism. Kristin is mother of NASA astronauts, and also an avid space fan was raised within the space industry. She spent five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump Administrations. In that period, she also covered impeachment proceedings for President Trump, the 2020 presdiential campaign, and two administration's efforts to contain the pandemic of coronavirus. She also went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Trump often. It included a secret trip with him to Afghanistan. Before being hired by the channel in, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing in local TV news stations in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in 2014. The company specialized in producing documentaries for corporate clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter live in Washington, D.C.
